One of the fellas on the other end of the line had a bit of an itchy trigger finger, seeing his first group of decoying geese in a few seasons and popped out of the blind a little too early. I usually use #2 shot on days we're hunting both ducks and geese, but today we were after the bluebills that were in the area, so I was loaded with black cloud #4's. These geese came over the trees, and it really took some work to get em to come in, nonetheless, greeted upon arrival…

This is a clim from the 1st week of pa's resident goose season with Geese At Your Feet Outfitters. These birds responded to all our different calls in textbook fashion!! They turned instantly at a hail call and a flip of the flag. They worked nice on approach but weren't satisfied with their angle. We coulda busted em them, but we like geese at our feet!! We cranked it up and hit em with a few different comeback calls and pleaded until they turned again. When they were back out front, going left to right, Shawn flipped the flag, and it turned em on a dime!! A few closing calls and they were LOCKED ON!! As you notice, the birds were gonna land on the right side of us, so I cranked it up a little to reposition the group, and it worked PERFECT!! They dropped right in the hole!! SWAT THEM MUTHAS!! Yeah, I know I posted the kill clip already, but that was just for the head shot, this is for the work!!

OH SWEET LEG IRON!! This is just one of 32 bands collected by Geese At Your Feet Outfitters in the 08/09 PS waterfowl season. Ok let me paint the picture for you. We had a pair that split up, 1 circled and the other landed right behind my blind!! Turn up your volume and listen at :14, she does a perfect murmur!! I was looking right at her, it was awesome!! We waited for her boyfriend to come in, but she was getting ready to leave so Shawn called the shot. As you can see, she was greeted upon arrival!! There was a slight delay, but greeted nonetheless!!

Sept 08' – Now those are 3 happy hunters!! Well 4, I was stoked too. I didnt even have a gun, and I still did a flip in the middle of the field!! LEG IRON GALORE!!!
