Naturecast is a series of HD videos of nature being nature. I produced these videos while working for Clevermedia.tv in 2007, using a Sony HC1 camera. This was originally taped at 1080i and edited and converted to 720p 24fps using FCP. "Fowl Weather," was taped on an extraordinarily cold, foggy morning where the fog was condensing into a very fine ice-like snow. I went to a little park in downtown Englewood, Colorado to tape the snow on the trees where I found ducks and geese around a small pond. I think there is an interesting juxtaposition between the flocks of birds and the isolation of the individual birds. I decided to shoot two episodes that morning, this one featuring the birds and another one featuring the snow and fog.
In less than one hour we see ducks and geese an eagle and a hawk along with coyotes hunting.
360 degree view. Beautiful campus located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. I don't go to school there – wish I did, but I can't afford the commute. I drive up there a few times a year to relax and commune with nature.

Ducks and geese that travel through Missouri in fall are coming from their nesting areas in the upper Midwest and southern Canada. When ponds and lakes in the north start to freeze and food becomes scarce, these waterfowl move southward to warmer climates. For most, the Midwest is only a stopover for resting and refueling with food. But some do spend all winter in the Midwest. Others travel further south, only to visit again in spring on their way back to northern nesting areas. mdc.mo.gov
The Cosby Ducks’ popularity is put in danger when a gaggle of Walken Geese and a lone Nicholson Swan try to steal the spotlight.

Ducks, geese, and gulls swim, slide, and fly about various partially frozen ponds in the eastern US For the quiz birders, there is a mystery gull from the far north (on the piling at Sam’s Pond – I think – Pt. Pleasant, NJ) near the end of the piece. w/music soundtrack.
